A young delinquent desperate to be a knight. I made design choices focused on Jim's naivety and slight carelessness but balanced it with his dedication, so contrasting elements like pieces of training armor and his loose flowing pants, and undone belt. More than anything I prioritized an interesting silhouette

Long John Silver
In Silver I've balanced intrigue, and a sense of distrust. In order to help convey this I've made silver top heavy to give him a feeling of instability and unpredictability, but also given him an almost inviting pose with more square and round shapes.

Captain Smollett
The no nonsense captain of the ship hired by Jim and Dr. Livesey. She is a trained and practiced wizard. For her design I wanted someone strong and stable but capable of adapting to difficult situations. All of my original silhouettes felt either too casual, or too much like a foot solider. A small traditional sketch evolved into her final design, Contrasting elements like her standard issue uniform, and large curly hair.

Dr. Livesey
The concept for Livesey was a man who became so obsessed with the machinery and technology of the time that he slowly replaced his body witch mechanical parts until nothing remained. He is the mad genius of the group and jumps into complicated tasks without thinking. For his design I've combined aesthetics of modern VR helmets, and bug anatomy, all with a robotic facade.
