World Map

My idea for the world map was simple. Take inspiration from classical star charts, and combine them with traditional fantasy maps. This proved more difficult than expected. My first concept felt very science fiction, but was overwhelming visually. My second lost the feel of distinct territories. A combination of the two with more subtle and unified colors created a piece that felt, grounded in space while having the visual aesthetics of something more within the realm of fantasy.
